Sphinx House is a new, independent publishing house, set up to publish well written books that, nevertheless, are hard to place with the traditional publishing houses because they don't fall into a mainstream genre or conform to a currently popular formula.  

Here at Sphinx House, we judge a book primarily on whether it's well-written, well-researched, entertaining, informative and of good quality and not on how much money it's likely to bring in.

Sphinx House is not about big business - it's about good books.
